Viet Nam calls on Japan to support clearing dioxin-contaminated environment
April 3rd in Hanoi, Lieutenant General Nguyen Chi Vinh, Deputy Minister of Defense, Head of the Standing Committee of the National Steering Committee for Cvercoming the Consequences of Landmines and Toxic chemicals after the war in Vietnam (Ban 701) received the Foreign Ministry delegation led by Ms. Yukiko Okano, International Cooperation Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, who are visiting and working in Vietnam.
At the meeting, on behalf of the Steering Committee 701, Lieutenant General Nguyen Chi Vinh emphasized that due to the complexity and scale of dioxin-contaminated environment projects, Vietnam has always called for support from the community, including international ones such as Japan.
